You know, i need to know this stuff in order to accept that music simply 'is' the way it is. My head works funny (when i say 'funny' i mean 'constantly, too much and very well if properly focused'). For example, to get out of breath exercising and feel ok about it, i need to know how the respitory system works (so as to be able use it better of course) - like i said, my head works funny!
Knowing this, you can see why, without having to memorise or even fully understand all this, i still need to know about it to enjoy music without a constant stream of 'why?' going off in my funny head when i should just be shredding! So, thank you for this explanation, it has been immensely helpful to me and my 'funny' mind. Also, it was really enjoyable to read, i love your matter - of - factness, it makes for fun and readable stuff even when it gets heavy - which is usually when things get properly interesting. Thank you my friend ;-) Awesome site!!!

Thank you for a very entertaining article. I wish I had found it yesterday before I spent the day duplicating your research. :-). I fiound it today because I realized that yesterday I had not determined how he could have figured out the frequencies. In the middle of the night the different length string idea hit me, and I wanted to verify it.

I first used this site for its generator... but I'm glad I stopped in and read this. You've got great clarity in your explanations.
